When it comes to bright, bold and youthful, there’s a new girl on the block (of my closet) and she’s taking up a lot of real estate.

I’ve been obsessed with Ann Taylor’s new look ever since I stepped foot into the new concept store in Chicago. For spring/summer, the brand places an emphasis on versatile separates: neon blouses, iconic shirtdresses, slim cropped pants and an impressive array of shoes, like these leather slingbacks. (Deep breath.)

The collections are thoughtfully styled by color, making it easy and fun to pull together outfits. And — as a girl on a budget — I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how wallet-friendly she is! Nearly everything I’m wearing here is on sale.

Ann Taylor is coming out of her shell these days, and I’m really grateful she gave me the opportunity to show off the new summer collection and style a few of my favorite pieces for you. Trust, though, the brand will be a recurring stop for my all of my shopping trips this season. (Note: petite gals, sizes run a bit big, so I’d suggest sizing down in bottoms and jackets!)
