Blanket Scarf

Returning to my winter wardrobe has been an unfortunate post-vacation adjustment (boo hoo, I know), but I’ve found the easiest way to cope is to cocoon my entire upper body in a super-soft blanket scarf.

Of course, I had to toss a pair of statement pumps into the mix for good measure.

I’ve spent most of the past month in Thailand, so when I was greeted with a blast of frost and wind chill in the airport taxi line this week, it nearly felt like as much of a culture shock as the initial language barriers in Asia.

… Almost.

I’ll continue to share more updates from my trip with you in the next few weeks. I have lots of stories to share from Hong Kong and Thailand, especially!

In the meantime – and until I can overcome a serious case of jetlag* – my weekly uniform will consist of an oversized scarf, a cute jacket and a pair of statement pumps. Let’s hope I haven’t forgotten how to walk in them!

*If you have any advice on how to get over jetlag (quickly), or if you’d just like to commiserate together, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

  1. Love that scarf and how you styled it! So bummed I missed out on it, though! Good luck getting back in the swing of things! Jet lag is always punishment for enjoying oneself too much… that, and hangovers 🙂

  2. Those heels are killer! As for jet lag, I try to develop a routine asap I get back when it comes to sleeping and waking up. And try to get back on your normal routine as well- but jet lag always kicks you in the ass when you get back from a trip! (-:

  3. Oh boy, I can’t imagine how bag the jet lag must be since you were gone for weeks! On the notion of going from warmth to winter I can relate a little- going from near 70 degree weather in California to the low teens in NYC after the holidays was no fun. I love your plaid scarf and red jacket paired together- perfect!

  4. THOSE SHOES!!!!! Ok, aside from THE SHOES, nice to have ya back stateside! I’ll bet it’s been hard coming “back to reality” for basically a month spent in paradise! I look forward to seeing your Thailand and Hong Kong posts! 🙂
