In the Mood for Monochromatic / Thursday: Optimistic Orange
Stay away from pairing shades that are too similar. If the colors of your ensemble are too similar to one another (think yellow and gold), it will look like your outfit is accidentally clashing rather than intentionally monochromatic.
I’ve read that the color orange gives off vibes of creativity and confidence, so I’m attempting to be masterfully monochromatic by wearing colors that really pack a punch today. Have you ever tried, uh,”mood dressing?” Does it work? … Okay, is it Friday yet?
Don’t forget to check the Monday blues, Tuesday pinks and Wednesday navys. And, of course, thank you for your comments this week! -H
Don’t forget to e-mail your photos! Have you incorporated one of my weekly fashion themes into your wardrobe regime? Snap some pics and e-mail them to hallie(at)coralsandcognacs.com with a blurb about you, your look and a link to your blog (if you have one) for a chance to be featured on c+c!

I am loving this week's theme on monochromatic looks. I know Kate Middleton loves this look as well and whatever she loves must be great!

Super cute look! and love, love, love, the Tory Burch shoes!
I've never tried mood dressing, may have to one day.
Love those shoes girl! I mood dress sometimes but it usually means I'm wearing a sweatshirt and yoga pants haha.
LOVE the colors and all of your challenges! You totally have a "uniform". You tie up all of your shirts to make them look "empire" waisted! Looking lovely lady!
I am in love with your wedges, they look so good.
Cute shoes! I love this color combination - citrusy and fun!

I love that skirt. It’s so fun. Plus, bright makes me think spring. I don’t know that it makes me more creative but fun is good enough I’d say!
