Get GNO-ready at Nordstrom Rack (+ the final $50 giveaway) [Closed]

Thus far, we’ve talked game-day glam and going from water-cooler to after-work drinks. Today, with the same pieces I’ve already styled, we’re upping the ante, leaving the beau at home and having some fun with the girls.

Aside from a champagne-soaked pre-game, what ultimately makes a girls’ night one to remember is a Facebook-worthy ensemble. (Hashtag profile pic!) When I’m planning to paint the town red, the look I aim to channel is cool-girl panache. Think the perfect balance of cutting-edge chic – like a modern-day Sandy in Grease, if you will.

In addition to mascara, girly curls and a red lip, my signature GNO style builds on a foundation of dark denim – a sleek, comfortable pair that allows me to bust a move at a moment’s notice. I actually had a hard time picking just one style at Nordstrom Rack, as there were so many name-brands at half-off (or more) – J Brand, AG Jeans, Joe’s, 7FAM, you name it.

Dark denim is undisputedly sexy and gives every outfit a dose of sophistication, particularly when worn with a textured separates and a pop of color. And, hey, if you crash at your gf’s (wink) and find yourself in need of a morning-after bloody mary, just toss on a scarf or jacket for that freshly showered Sunday Funday look.

  1. You find such great pieces at the Rack!! I’ve stopped in to the Rack in Union Square a few times, but haven’t found that much. It’s constantly crowded and you have to be in that mood to find a deal! You’ve inspired me to make trips more often to find these gems.

    As for me, I’d shop for Trina Turk because I’m eyeing up a particular peplum top currently on Nordstrom Rack, as well as Alice & Olivia, and T by Alexander Wang. Of course, I’d probably find some other brands to shop while I”m there - thus, getting in trouble with my husband (all for a good cause, of course)! = )

  3. I always tend to stumble upon some Michael Kors goodies at Nordstrom Rack, it’s so great! I also keep my eye out for L.A.M.B. but I really want some Ray-Bans like you! Clearly Nordstrom Rack is the place I should be looking! And I “like” (LOVE) C+C on FB :)

  4. Love this look! The pop of color on the belt is fab. I have been buying great handbags/wallets for years at Nordstrom Rack for much less. Also love their selection of 7 jeans, cut from kloth, paige demin etc. I’ve also been known to find a great statement necklace in their jewelry section for a fraction of the normal cost. Love me some Nordstrom Rack!

  17. I love Nordstrom Rack, but going in there is dangerous for me because I could spend HOURS looking at all the discounted clothes, shoes, bags… everything. Some of my favorite brands there are Alice + Olivia and Michael Kors!

    I love going to Nordstrom rack for jeans!!! They have all of the name brands, Seven, Citizen, Paige, JBrand.
    I also love the shoe department, I have to admit, I do buy my stock of vans shoes there too :)

  33. I haven’t bought any really recognizable brands at Nordstrom since I still show in the Junior section.. i know shame on me… but I’m petite so it’s easier to shop misses. But I would love to score a Marc Jacobs item for less!

However, if I find something aesthetically appealing and it just so happens to be by an awesome designer, that is always a huge plus! I currently have multiple pieces from Michael Kors and Franco Sarto in my closet that I have acquired at Nordstrom Rack!!

  75. I LOVE love love there shoe selection. Just picked up a pair of Cole Haan black leather flats with studs. I am a size 5 and no one ever carries shoes that small. I get so excited when I go to Nordstrom Rack because they always have my size.

  76. I love shopping for jeans there (7, paige denim) Also it’s my favorite place to go for bras bc they always have cute ones in my size (32ddd). Victoria’s secret doesn’t even carry my size in their stores.
