Where to Shop to Support Hurricane Sandy

in fashion salad

I’d be remiss if I pretended this was a normal week, because it wasn’t. My thoughts and prayers (continue to) go out to everyone affected by Hurricane Sandy.

As you probably know, I’m really good at spending money. That said, it’s been a no brainer to hit up a few fashion names who are working hard to help those affected by the storm. If you, too, have been wondering how you can offer your support, check out this round-up of retailers donating to the American Red Cross, treat yo’self, and help those in need:

  • Bauble Bar: For every $10 buried bauble purchase, Bauble Bar will donate $10.
  • Barneys New York: If you’re in NYC, head to the store’s Madison Avenue flagship on 11/4, where 10% of sales will be donated.
  • Dannijo: 20% of all purchases
  • Gilt City: 30% of Gilt City NYC profits (they have nation-wide deals too, like on jewelry from Gorjana)
  • Lord & Taylor: 15% off with code NOV; plus, simply “like” the brand’s Facebook page and they’ll donate $1 to the New York Chapter of the Red Cross
  • Mara Hoffman: The designer tweeted her support earlier this week: shop 15% off with 5% of all proceeds donated with code ILOVENY. (Ends 11/7)
  • Salvatore Ferragamo: A percentage of proceeds in-stores and online will be donated (ends Sunday night)
  • StyleBop: This luxury e-commerce site is donating 10% of all sales through 11/7.
