Stay Glossy During… Date Night

An exciting announcement today, you guys! For a series of upcoming posts, I’m competing with four other stylish blogettes for the chance to travel abroad and become Rimmel London’s Official Blogger.

I used to think getting a date was the hard part… Then I had to dress for one. You know the feeling — and be it a blind date, a seriously romantic milestone or anywhere else on the dating timeline (if such a thing exists, these days), deciding what to wear for a hot date can induce a serious closet crisis.

If you’re anything like me, this sitch can spin you into a frenzied attempt at trying to balance expectation and excitement. Here’s one thing I can tell you for sure: Guys may not be able to wrap their heads around the romper trend just yet (what do they know, really), but one thing they get? Glossy, kissable lips.

For this particular date night look, I stared by layering three shades from Rimmel’s Stay Glossy line – Treasure Hunt, Eternal Flirt and So Fabulous – for a look that’s uniquely me. My outfit followed suit: I paired my pout with an equally colorful get-up, opting for a trendy, peplum skirt and a classic silk blouse. To top things off, I reached for a pair of nude pumps to temper my not-so-quiet neons and employ that sneaky leg-lengthening trick.

I styled my outfit around the simplicity of incorporating color for a killer head lip-to-toe look, so I opted for low-maintenance make-up, lining the water lines of my eyes with a waterproof eye pencil, adding two coats of lash-lengthening mascara and a hint of blush.
