Runway Recap: Bright Lights, Pink Tips + Tomboy Vibes

As you know, New York was hit with a shitload lot of snow last week. That Nemo couldn’t keep us away from Lincoln Center, though. There were shows to be seen! Here’s a few snaps from my first day in the tents:

First up was Carmen Marc Valvo: a collection of mystical, mysteriously edgy pieces and contrasting textures. Models walked the runway in ornate lace, patent leather and black silk, with slicked-back hair, pink tips and dewy, fresh faces.

After a quick phone change, it was off to Noon by Noor.

Here, garments of gray, plum and navy were aplenty. Noon by Noor‘s subtle sexiness of pant suits, intricate detailing and lush fabrics (a nod to the designers’ Persian culture) reminded me of something a super-chic librarian would wear.

*People’s Rev produced this show. Check out Kelly Cutrone in action!

Jessica and I rounded out the day at Nicole Miller. The show reminded me of a modern-day Mad Men look — in the best possible way — complete with tomboy vibes and top hats. Perfect for transitioning a day at the office to a night on the town.

Hey, P’trique!

*More to come next week… Enjoy the long weekend!
