Sorbet-inspired Style

This past week, I had the very good fortune of spending an afternoon on-set, talking the #FabFound fashion at Marshall’s this season (sneak peek of an upcoming post on that here).

The day was a blur of pointed-toe pumps, sheer separates, cute little clutches and pastel pieces, which has me very excited for spring. I’ll share the video when it’s ready, but in the meantime, I’m teaming up with Marshall’s to share my favorite spring styles here on c+c over the next few Fridays. What better way to mentally prepare for the season?

This week’s challenge is styling a mix of pretty pastel separates, and nothing screams spring-and-summer quite like a sorbet-inspired ensemble. Since we’re not quite there yet (still mid-30′s on the East Coast), I opted for a more transitional outfit by mixing in a few mid-tones.

One might assume I’d reach for coral accents for this challenge, but I was feeling particularly inspired by mint and I wanted a fun, punchy accessory (the bag) to add an element of energy and drama.

The textured, faux leather jacket and layered helps to anchor the outfit, I think. How would you style these sorbets?
