Effortless Elegance

I tend to be a black leggings and (leopard-print) sneakers kinda gal, but truth be told, I love slipping into a girly ensemble from time-to-time.

I walk everywhere in New York, so with the exception of my office commute, I prefer to carry cute cross-body bags or clutches. An oversized wristlet in an eye-popping hue generally does the trick in taking me from day-to-night or week-to-weekend.

That said, I know, it’s ironic that today’s look seems overtly office-centric, but I’ve been Mad Men marathon’ing in anticipation of the new season, so I think a bit of Joan walked out in my wardrobe today.

Even if you’d prefer to leave the pencil skirt on the rack, a few ladylike accessories can instantly give your outfit an elegant edge. From minimal gold jewelry to bow-embellished shoes, simple feminine accents help balance out a seemingly boyish outfit or dress up a more casual look.

What’s more, all of the items I just mentioned (and that I’m wearing above, here and here) can be found at Marshall’s – making them the perfect money-minded indulgence to spice up your wardrobe this spring.

Don’t forget to share your #FabFound finds on Instagram and Twitter (use the hashtag) for your chance to win a $50 gift card. Happy weekend!

  1. A) love Mad Men!
    B) totally love long pencil skirts. I was hesitant about them just making me look shorter until I finally just tried one on and wound up feeling long and lean. who knew?!
    C) love the blue pops in this outfit!
