Signs of spring have peppered their way into New York’s concrete jungle, but the weather has been slow to follow.

For petite women (like myself), wearing wide-leg pants is style trickery at it’s finest. When donned with a discreet heel, it’s a simple, flattering outfit solution that won’t overpower your frame. I joke that these Joe’s Jeans as my best-kept secret. I like pretending I’m tall for a day!

  1. It’s amazing how much length those flared jeans can provide! I’ve been convinced for awhile that Joe’s Jeans are magical. That faux leather jacket is fabulous!

  2. I’m super short, but I never wear flared jeans like this. THANK YOU for letting me in on your secret, clearly I need to get myself a pair!

    • For sure! The key is to find a pair that START to flare out just below your kneecaps. I love Joe’s Jeans - they’ve been perfect in terms of length. Bring a pair of heels to for trying on in-store, too! :-)

  3. That faux leather jacket is fabulous — I love a great light jacket! Also love how these jeans look on you — gotta love my skinny jeans, but the flattery of wide leg jeans is undeniable.

  4. I always think you look so tall in your blog pictures! And then I’m always surprised when I see you in person that you’re a shortie like me!

  5. i love flared jeans! i always wear mine with wedges and bam, i’m almost normal person height! it’s so nice because then i can actually buy normal jeans (but wear them with 3-5 inch heels).

  6. This is an excellent trick. Ever since my obsession with bell bottoms in middle school, I’ve strayed away from wide leg pants….but I could definitely use the illusion of a few inches. I may have to try this out!
