The In-Between Season

Has your weather been as unpredictable this spring as ours has here in New York?

Seriously. And I’m more than mentally prepared to ban my faux fur vests to the back of my closet!

On days in which I don a heavier jacket, pit stains become an inevitable outfit accessory. (Sorry, was that too much?) But when I walk out the door sans layers, I’m practically frostbitten by the time I get to work. Are you an I’d rather-be-cold or rather-be-hot type of person?

I digress. It’s leggings, light-knit sweaters and a cross-body carry-all for gloomy (slightly rainy) Mondays until that Mother Nature gets her act together.

… And this faux-leather cap, too. Good thing Jessica doesn’t mind that I raid her accessories collection on the reg!

  1. OMG I’m SO over the hot… the cold… it’s like dating Mother Nature!

  2. Ha! Loved this because I couldn’t agree more. I’m more of an I’d rather be freezing person so I’m ready to wake up to at least 70 degrees outside. You think that will happen any time soon?! Love the wedges by the way!

  3. In the vast majority of situations, I’d rather be hot. When it’s 90+ with much humidity and no breeze, then I might relent and say being cold is better. Like that 96 degree wedding I shot a year ago where I felt super professional with my makeup melting off my face and sweat dripping in all sorts of unmentionable places. In other news, I love the shoulder detail on that top. Simple detail makes it so much better!

    • Digging your logic here, lady. I’d rather be hot because it’s like a, “we’re all in this together” type of mindset. Being cold is somewhat subjective… If you can’t tell, I argued this with a coworker for longer than I should have today! :)

  4. Your wedges are so fun and fabulous! Our weather in San Francisco has been crazy too. Last week was record highs and now it’s drizzly and overcast. Ready for sun!

  5. Ugh to the weather! In Kansas we had two 80 degree days and then we had snow! It’s so hard to look cute when the weather just won’t give anyone a break! I love those wedges!

  6. I know exactly what you mean with the weather! Even in Fla. the weather has been crazy, while we might not have snow it goes from hot and sunny to rain storms and chilly, sometimes on the same day! It is horrible! I really like that blue nail polish — it makes me want to go out and get some myself. Also, those wedges are amazing! I would love to have those in my closet.
