Pretty Pink Maxi

With summer fast approaching, I’ve been adding color to my ensembles a bit more each day. Though subtleness has never been my strong suit.

Nothing improves a Monday quite like a pretty pink maxi (in my world, at least)… I bought this piece immediately upon laying eyes on it from one of my favorite online boutiques, Collective Habit.

While I find myself reaching for it often, I don’t think I can wear it to the office again. I lost count of the number of times I ran over it with my desk chair. Oh, and I’ll also spare you the details of a dumbly ambitious (and nearly-disastrous) “I’ll Take the Stairs” decision. Talk about an occupational hazard!

Love your use of color here. And that skirt definitely is a beaut. I cracked up when I read your reasons for not wearing this skirt to the office again. Flowing maxi skirts and dresses are DEFINITELY a hazard in the work place, but especially with stairs. Picture a girl feeling ever so cute in her long flowing maxi skirt, walking up the stairs at work all daintily and ladylike. And then accidentally, she steps on the hem of said skirt which abruptly pulls the waist down to her hip area. And then she trips.
Fail.
