(More) Perfect Pairings

All right, you guys. I swear to you, the travel gods have a serious vendetta against me.

I won’t get into it, but let’s just say I’ve seen my fair share of airport bars flight delays in the past few months…. And by that, I mean I’m batting a thousand.

Last night may have been the worst of it, as we spent most of our time on the runway (*Editor’s Note: That’s where I’m writing to you from now). Rogue portable electronic user, here!

At any rate, I certainly have no room to complain. I’m home in New York, I spent the weekend with my best friends and it’s likely that I’m guzzling a venti-sized iced coffee at this very moment.

When I’m in a wardrobe rut (or if I get home late and hit that snooze button a few too many times), my no-fail fashion fix is to wear two seemingly unconventional pieces together. Like this pencil-and-tee pairing (also style here). It just works, no? Same goes for boyfriend jeans and a delicate tank. Or floral and stripes. Every time.

And, on that note, snooze….

  1. Sounds like you’re not having great travel luck. Mine has been pretty dreadful since December of 2010 when I spent 18 hrs in JFK. My ultimate worst? Being halfway to London and turning around back to JFK and then leaving JFK again when I was supposed to already be in London. Oh the joys of air travel!

  2. I am swooning over the bag! Pretty outfit - it looks relaxed with some gentle notes of elegance. Adding white to a black and orange combo is certainly a good way to go!
