This past weekend, I intended to spend 12 hours in Atlantic Beach (AB), but that turned into approximately 29 hours and some change. Reason being, rum punch on the beach turned into sangria during showers turned into margaritas at dinner… And so on. You know the drill.
The Long Beach area is gorgeous — even post-Sandy. The beaches are clean, secluded and calm. The ocean, on the another hand, is another story… That bitch. RIP Chanel sunnies.
Thankfully, the clouds parted ways long enough for me to get a nice little sunburn (I’m Irish), but since this was the first time that I’ve smelled salt water all year, I was a happy girl nonetheless. The above factors did have a direct correlation to my rum punch intake, though.
I’ve been sippin’ on these Starbucks bevvys all summer long — mainly on my commute to work, but they’re equally as great if you freeze and toss ‘em in your beach bag on the way out the door.
My favorite is the original flavor, but this one doubles as a sweet treat. I’ll take a caffeine and caramel combo any day.

Love that Caramel flavor! I’ve been buying the regular on repeat at Starbucks, but I can’t wait until they start carrying the rest of the flavors. Wish our beach weekends were at the same beach
