Phillip Lim Floral

Hello and happy Monday! I hope you enjoyed your weekends. I had family in town, so I spent mine (happily) playing a tourist in my own city… More to come on that.

I’m head-to-toe in two of my favorite brands today: Phillip Lim and Zara

I’ve mentioned this to you before, but I’m all about building a wardrobe that’s versatile, easy and functional — a mindset that’s been firmly established since I moved to New York and developed a routine that spans way longer than your typical nine-to-five grind.

… Which reminds me; Fashion Week creeping around the corner.

As a result, when I saw this Phillip Lim top hit the clearance shelves at Otte, I knew I had to have it. It’s boxy, sure, but I love a little structure. (The jury’s still out on whether or not I want those sleeves hemmed… Did you even notice until I pointed them out?)

The print makes it perfect for spring and summer, but I plan to layer it this fall, too. Probably with skinny denim and a mint-colored blazer.

  1. LOVE the blouse! Gorgeous pattern! Annnnd due to this post, i’m thinking a trip to Zara is in order. Not upset about it. :) Happy Monday!

  2. You are killing the NYC-street chic look, you pull off the boxier blouse so well! I feel like this is something that would get snapped walking out of Milk Studios during fashion week :)
