Ah, Monday… Here we are again. How was your weekend?
A highlight from mine was attending a beverage release party for Stella Artois Cidre (pronounced see-dray), a Belgian-style cider made with hand-picked apples. I’ve spent the better half of my adult years drinking Stella Artois, so it was a no brainer when Jess and I were asked to attend on behalf of Glam.com and report back.
Event deets: The Cidre soiree was supposed to be atop the Mondrian Hotel in an urban orchard-type setting, but the weather gods must have known I was coming, so, naturally, ran crept into the forecast.
Nonetheless, we had a blast. Much of my evening was spent alternating between Stella Artois’s classic Belgian lager and their new sweet treat. You can’t really go wrong with live music, food pairings and a crisp, refreshing boozy beverage, can you?
Beverage deets: Cidre (not cider) is delicious. I’m not usually a fruit-tasting type of drinker, but this one’s already staked its claim as my late-season brew companion. Better yet, it’s gluten-free!
Outfit deets: I debuted my new Célfie tee, which prompted one of the girls to ask me if I was allowed to wear (and how I wore) T-shirts at work. The short answer is (1) yes and (2) it’s easy… With the right styling, like below.
More often than not, I’m coming straight to whatever event is happening in the city straight from the office. And as a result, the under-side of my desk looks like an actual department store (more like unkempt sample sale, as there’s shit everywhere).
*Shop this look: Céline Me Alone tee (also here), Pull & Bear skinnies | for the boardroom: Rebecca Taylor summer blazer, Gorjana Greer necklace, Zara shoes | to the barstool: lime green cropped jacket, BaubleBar necklace, Topshop strappy sandals
Mental note: Clean your desk.
… Is it too early to start the countdown to Friday? Cidre me.
