First Look: Alexander Wang Spring 2014

Remember when I told you (via Glam Insider — Glam.com’s free iPad app) that my dream show at Fashion Week was Alexander Wang?

Well, that just happened (literally, just now). Holy sh-t.

Where: Pier 94

Who: In attendance was a star-studded crowd of Kerry Washington, Kanye West, Grace Coddington, Solange and Maggie Gyllenhaal, among others.

What: Alexander Wang’s Spring 2014 collection entails playful menswear, modern minimalism, laser-cut leather and lots of logos. (Subliminal branding, perhaps?) The look is perfect for the downtown It Girls who like to look polished while embracing that off-duty model look. [*Raises hand.]

Wang’s graphic “Parental Advisory” tee garnered a lot of Instagram attention — I expect we’ll be seeing it on an endless array of style bloggers in the season to come.

I was able to calm my nervous excitement (and shaking hands) enough to snap a few photos of the show — I’ll share more with you next week in my Day 3 recap, but here’s a few highlights in the interim.
