Inspiration tends to strike in the timeliest manner, doesn’t it? Typically, I’ve noticed it’s when you most need it and where you’d least expect it.
I came across this little gem of a “fortune” a few days ago after housing some Chinese food and had to share it with you (again) prior to the weekend:
Nothing motivates like a little Pinterest-worthy wisdom. I’m a big believer in luck… It seems the harder you work, the more of it you have.
Now, in the meantime, I hope you have a lovely weekend. I plan to spend mine brunching my way through all of Manhattan: Mimosa, please!

There are definitely people out there who are golden and who are blessed with perpetual good luck — we all know someone, or of someone like this. But for the rest of us? We are talking blood, sweat and keystrokes . Oh yes putting in the time and hard work to achieve your dream along with knowing how to network is what you really need to get ahead.

Preach! I love that phrase, “keystrokes.” I agree in that we all have “that friend,” but I think our position (of working hard) pays off in the long-run.

Erika from Small Shop had a similar post to this a while back and I totally agree with it. People say things to me like, “you’re so lucky” all the time, and I’m like… dude… that’s because I work really really hard! But I agree with the fortune. I generally believe that if you are a nice person and work really really hard, then good things will inevitably come your way… even if things are tough for a little bit!
