Lying

Well, I was prepared to happily inform that it’s not yet tights season in New York, but after yesterday’s chilling walk home, I’d only be lying to the both of us. (So much for that wax.)

As it turns out, an extroverted love for fall is growing on me. As sad as I was to see the summer go, I love the comforting feeling that chillier temps and a cozy new wardrobe can bring.

Sadly (for me), The Vest will be temporarily retiring soon. In return, I plan to trade up for anything oversized that only remotely resembles clothing. The chunkier the knit, the better the sweater. Deal with it, boys!

I laughed out loud reading Alyssa’s chunky knit round-up, because I’m in the same boat.

Much of my winter weather gear is at home in Ohio (storage/closet space is an issue in New York, though I am certainly blessed in that department), so hopefully my mother reads this and feels compelled to prevent me from a late-night, wine-induced Shopbop spree.

  1. I just went through my tights draw to taken inventory of what made it through last year without running on me — as much as I love bare legs come spring I’m so excited it’s finally time to wear tights this season! I complain about the cold of winter but I don’t think I’d ever want to live someplace where the weather was the same all the time. Talk about limiting my closet!

  2. Loving the faux-leather skirt! And I’ve been in denial about tights weather too. But couldn’t stop myself from pulling them out earlier this week when the day’s temp wasn’t even going to his 50*! - Katy
