Desk-to-Drinks Sparkle

‘Tis the season for a slew of holiday parties… Just about, at least.

As the invitations start to roll in (Friendsgiving is on the horizon first-and-foremost, here!), I’m already thinking about my outfits for the holiday season. What in the world to wear to these impending eggnog-soaked nuptials — and what items I so clearly need to shop for as a result.

Most of the girls I know — myself included — go straight from the office to holiday parties, so a signature desk-to-drinks ensemble is essential. For me, it’s an outfit base of black and a hint of gold. All-day comfort is key, too (hence the platform booties).

A subtle sparkle is perfect for the office, but it still seems festive. Come the end of the workday, you can simply freshen your makeup with a quick coat of mascara and YSL Touche Eclat to perk up tired eyes before you head to that holiday party. Swipe on your go-to gloss and you’re out the door.

Let’s rock. Dirty ‘tini, please! And make mine a double. (Don’t judge, the holidays can be stressful!)

  1. Ohh, I love the matte-shimmer of the sequins! I used to be such a sequin fanatic but as I’ve gotten older I’m afraid they’re too “loud,” especially if they’re super-shiny!

  2. FABULOUS!!! Love that jacket, love the skirt, love the booties. I want a sequin jacket so bad this year (also, a sequin maxi skirt). Perhaps I should look into that whole 75% off you mentioned…
