Super Bowl Sunday Style

Are you ready for some football? I know I am! And by that, I mean bring on the Bud Light. (In moderation, of course, Mom.)

Super Bowl Sunday is one of the biggest sporting events of the year, and regardless of whether or not you’ve got to Google who’s playing (or what time the Puppy Bowl is on — no judgement), you can still look the part without sacrificing your signature style.

For sporting events (you know, baseball games, Super Bowl Sunday, Beer Olympics), I tend to go the t-shirt and jeans route. With some statement shoes, of course — be it a pair of colorful pumps or sneaker wedges. If I’m feeling a bit edgier, I’ll rock a sweatshirt or raglan tee with a mini skirt and flat pair of booties.

In addition to the outfits I’ve styled above, here’s an additional dose of game-day inspiration:

Lastly, if its slim pickins in your closet this weekend (I’m overdue for laundry, too), here’s a few of my favorite last-minute game-day style secrets:

  1. Sport festive nail polish! I’ve been into these shades this season.
  2. Don some denim in your team’s color. J. Brand and Joe’s have a variety of hues (available at Nordstrom or Macy’s), but you can find budget-friendly pairs at your local Old Navy.
  3. Color-block. Show your spirit in creative ways — cotton T-shirts, dual-toned accessories, sweaters and leggings. It’s all about layering!
  4. If all else fails, give your hair pretty mermaid waves, throw on some lipstick and grab a hat. Instant Super Bowl chic!

  1. You would hate my game day style Haley… it’s green an yellow everything… along with Packers jewelry, hat and shirt… I even made glitter Packers shoes when I went to the home opener at Lambeau this year. I’m a little more hardcore than most people though :) Your looks are super cute and I love me the sneaker wedges!! If you can find Alexander Keith’s anywhere, I highly recommend picking some up, as it is just sad to drink Bud Light, regardless of the occasion! 😛

      • Agreed!! Tailgating isn’t allowed in my city in Canada which is really unfortunate and it poured in Green Bay when I was there. Hopefully I’ll experience it full force next season! I love that our teams are rivals… I really want to go to a game at Soldier Field!

  2. I’m a big fan of the t-shirt and jeans look and I love both outfits!! Those leopard sneaks are awesome! And um, I do watch the SuperBowl, but I’m a huge PuppyBowl fan as well 😉 =

  3. OK have you seen the new AW bags? The pale pink and mint? I am dying and think I need the pink, do you use your colored one often?

  4. And I totally spelled your name wrong. I just saw it above… my bad. I hate when my name gets misspelled/pronounced, which happens alot. SORRY!!!

What do you think?
