Design Darling Blog Brunch

Today’s post gives new meaning to the title Hostess With the Mostess.

Amid last week’s jam-packed schedule, I was fortunate to escape the Fashion Week insanity to catch up with a crew of awesome blogging gals — all while overcompensating on complex carbohydrates and bottomless beverages, no less.

In fact, every time we toasted it was to “bellinis and bacon!”

Our host for the day, Mackenzie Horan, threw an in intimate blogger brunch atop the Gramercy Park Hotel to celebrate the second birthday of her e-store, Design Darling.

To set the scene: Jess, Carly, Victoria and a few of my other favorite girls were in attendance. We gorged on citrus salad, berries and cream, baked eggs, pancakes and french toast. And by we I mean me, as I personally went back for seconds on every single dish. (Love a good #Faturday!)

The Gramercy Terrace felt more like a garden oasis — which is always a welcome reprieve from the crowded streets of city living — and offered incomparable views of the New York City skyline.

I might add that I was especially sweet to the doorman, desk clerk and wait staff. Remember how I told you that you need an actual key to get into New York’s Gramercy Park? This hotel is the ticket, dear friends. I’m a woman on a mission and I’ve made this my resolution. Let me in that goddamn park!

At any rate, here’s some photos from our brunch. Thank you for hosting us, Mackenzie, and cheers to another year of success at Design Darling!
