High-Low

It’s crazy to think that I stress so much about packing for blog-related weekends away (be it Fashion Week or LuckyFABB), because I somehow always find myself — well, read on…

Shopping. I always find myself shopping.

In today’s case, I accidentally ended up in a retail store far beyond my pay-grade in West Hollywood with an Alexander Wang-clad Kylie Jenner.

It’s a long story, kind of, and I’m still feeling a bit jet-lagged, so I’ll let’s plan on that story for a post later this week. It really wasn’t my fault though.

Spoiler alert: The fruits of that labor is the cropped sweater I’m wearing today — which was Day One at LuckyFABB.

The rest of the pieces that I’d packed for my trip to LA included an eclectic mix of high-low separates — my go-to’s from Target, a printed dress from ASOS, a faux-leather Zara jacket. In addition, I was all-to-eager to pack a few open-toe sandals (including these wrap-around Schutz heels) since it’s been boot season for far too long here in New York.

  1. Ahh! Those shoes are everything. I die. I have super small feet (4.5) and can never get cool, edgy shoes like that. Love the top too!

  2. You have mastered the art of high-low shopping!

I’ve been trying to incorporate this attitude into my shopping behavior lately. Unfortunately I just had a major wardrobe disaster when I bought a budget friendly skirt for a bridal shower and didn’t end up trying it on until the day before. My fault. Anyways, the color/fit/fabric was horrendous on me which led me to purchasing a much pricer option last minute. So disappointed!

    Oh well, I tried!

  3. Cannot wait to hear the rest of the story. That top is amazing. I can’t believe that skirt is from Target, great find!
