Rain Dance

April showers, snow and sleet… That’s the name of the game on the East Coast at the moment. Who’s down to pitch a tent and throw a pity party?

I’ll be there for the pre-game, as I’m heading to the desert for a sunshine-infused get-a-way this week.

Fortunately, the weather out west seems as though it’s going to cooperate, and I’m eager to seek poolside refuge to take care of my grossly pale, pasty skin (and perhaps, my inbox). Borderline offensive, no? Come on, sun!

During a recent photo shoot with Jess, though, the weather most certainly did not cooperate. And by that, I mean it started raining the second we let our guards down and got out our lenses. Par for the course.

As they say, “you have to put up with a little rain, to get the rainbow.”

… “LAAAME” I can hear you saying. I know, I know. But remember when I said life is all about the clichés? Whether or not that’s true, believing as such is a powerful mood-lifter (and motivator).

All Pinterest-worthy proverbs aside, these shoes are a sight to be seen and you can’t kick the spring in my step, Mother f-cker Nature. Bring it! (Just kidding, actually; don’t. Please don’t!)

    • You’re such a doll! Twinsies. I love these shoes — and they’re surprisingly comfortable!

… Though for anyone else reading/inquiring about these, I’d suggest going a half-size down. They run slightly large!
