Shop Local: Shoptiques

Hello from Paradise Island in the Bahamas, my friends!

I kind of flew under the radar with my recent travel, but to be honest, I’ve been so focused on everything that this trip totally snuck up on me, too. I’ll share photos and updates with you soon, but you can follow along on Instagram in the interim.

For today, though…

I’m checking in to share a few photos from a really fun project I did last week with Shoptiques, an online shopping site that’s basically a curated selection of hard-to-find fashion from the world’s best boutiques.

(Read on to learn more about the site/see more photos, but first: The best part of our shoot last week? This impromptu puppy photobomb. I died!)

Have you heard of Shoptiques? I hadn’t, admittedly, until I started to learn more about the site over the past few weeks.

It’s a brilliant idea, really – and I’ll give you the cliff notes version: Shoptiques.com is a website that allows you to “filter through the clutter” of the fashion world and get immediate access to local boutiques across the globe (in cities like New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Paris and more).

It’s a great concept for girls who live in non-metropolitan cities, are time-starved, or just want to discover new brands and boutiques.

Here are a few of the looks I styled based around my favorite pieces – including this graphic-print blouse, white eyelet skirt and city sweatshirt.

I also curated a selection of my favorite spring dresses, skirts and other separates, which you can find here.

My favorite thing about Shoptiques is that they list what boutique your item is actually coming from – including a few of my favorites: Pinkyotto and Bash & Bow in New York; and Mulberry & Me in Chicago.

Before buying, you can read up on neighborhood details, specific boutique reviews and even facts about the owners, so you really get the whole “shop local” vibe. Cool, right?

You can sort by neighborhood, price and more, too — ultimately browsing the best of hard-to-find fashion from San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Paris and more.

A quick trip to Le Corner des Createurs in Paris, anyone?

Lastly, Shoptiques just launched their mobile app, which makes shopping the site and saving your favorites that much easier. You can download it here (or if you prefer desktop, you can shop the site here).

I have a few more looks to share with you from our photoshoot, and you can expect those next week. Stay tuned!

  1. I love the graphic print blouse and the floral print blouse. Both are vibrant and fun for spring. Those pups were in love with you Hallie, or maybe they’re in love with what’s in the pink box :) Happy Thursday!

  2. Hallie- You look amazing in that graphic shirt/green trench look! It suits you so well!

I’ve never used Shoptiques, but may have to give it a shot. One of my biggest complaints about the CLE retail market is the lack of great boutique shopping. I’ve been slowly introducing my styling clients to my favorite shops around the US, but this makes it so much easier!

    Enjoy your much needed vacation.

  3. You lost me at curated…I mean honestly between you and all the others with the same post, I think each one of you used the word curated. UGH!

  5. Okay, I just went to this site and immediately put about 10 things in my bag! I’ve also been looking for some affordable boutiques in New York; thanks for sharing!
