The Heart’s Delight

What a beautiful weekend it was in the city.

I’ve said before, one of the best things about leaving New York is coming back to it.

Over the weekend, I spent ample time outdoors with lots of iced coffee, all of the avocado toast and, yes, even a few cupcakes. (The Little Cupcake Bakeshop is where these photos were snapped — stop by if you’re in the ‘hood. It’s so cute!)

Saturday and Sunday are when I’m the busiest — and away from my desk — as they’re the days I teach most frequently at SoulCycle (for now).

When teaching, sometimes I’m happily surprised by the messaging that makes it way out of my mic and into my classes (and, of course, onto the blog as well).

Jess likes to call me baby Buddha, and baby Buddha was very much out in full force over the weekend.

This past week, I’ve thought (and talked) a lot about body language.

Admittedly, I used to have really bad posture (and it’s still something I’m working on), but I’m getting better at being more conscious of it.

Whether you’re riding the bike, sitting in your car, or walking down the street (with a coral- and cognac-colored reversible tote, like so) you can pretty much tell someone exactly who you are without ever opening your mouth.

So, do you ever think about the message you’re sending?

I thought that was interesting food for thought — and fitting for a Monday morning.

And with that, I’ll let my smile in these photos do the rest of the talking for today.

I’m off to bed, up and out the door to teach at 5:45 a.m. in New Jersey. (Monday morning behind-the-scenes on snapchat is a good one — find me by searching for ‘coralsncognacs’.)

And actually, by the time you’re reading this, I’ll probably be back home taking a nap. So it’s all good!

Have a great Monday, my friends.

(… Smile, and sit up straight!)

  1. I will try to sit up straight! Even though it’s my first Monday back at work and I definitely feel like major slouchage today. I love that you have a coral & cognac tote!

  2. You look soooooo good! I love these photos. I’ve been watching some videos on body language. Being aware of the message I am putting out to others is important and something I am working to improve. Love your post!

  3. You look killer in these photos! Must be the strong Soul Cycle core (and a happy smile)! After years of sitting in front of multiple computer screens, my posture could definitely use a little improvement. Thanks for the much needed reminder.

Love the post title, by the way… :)

  4. You look fantastic in all of these pictures..probably the best I’ve ever seen you look! You go girl! And by the way, I’ve been loving following your snaps (that sounds really creepy doesn’t it…) Have a great day!

  5. Bad posture is extremely noticeable now on the CTA with my fellow commuters. It’s hard for me not to tell people to sit up straight, but it just reminds me to straighten up!!

    Love these photos. xoxo

  6. I wish there was a website that showed you the coolest art walls in your city-the backdrop is amazing! But those shoes! Omg I would kill myself, but you rock them so effortlessly.
