Link Love, Vol. 51

Hello and happy Friday from rainy New York City! (C’mon, summer — seriously. Let’s go!)

rainy-day-outfit-idea

You’ll have to excuse my belated nature in sharing today’s link love post. I was up late last night reading your super sweet comments and tweets from yesterday’s big blog announcement (my Peak for this week, clearly!) and I had to be up before dawn to teach at Soul out in Short Hills, New Jersey.

My Pit for the week, in case you’re wondering — is the fact that I learned (the hard way) that watermelon juice explodes if you keep it too far past its expiration date. Holy red hot MESS!

At any rate, back to this week’s sentiments: I’m so excited, you guys. SO excited! And I’m thrilled that I can start talking about it on the blog, too — we have so much to discuss! First things first, though; I should probably book movers, huh? Oh, logistics. Details, really.

But for real: Thank you guys for your sweet words of encouragement. I’m so happy about this next chapter and I’m really thankful to have you along for the (crazy) ride.

Now, let’s get to it: here’s this week’s dose of workday procrastination.

  1. I have loved following you as you’ve navigated new york city, and you have such a great attitude about it. as you said so eloquently in yesterday’s post “you can’t just sit around and wait for things to fall into place,” so i’m super excited for your new adventures in chi-town! hopefully you still make it out to sf (soul just opened their 3rd location here!) and we can meet up!

  2. Love the wicker handbag from Kate Spade! I commented on Instagram yesterday, but I just want to say that I’m so happy for you! Chicago is lucky to have you. Have a great weekend.

  3. I’m so excited for you and your move. You’re definitely one of my favorites and I love how real and honest you are with your readers - it’s not all flowers and rainbows. It’s been fun following you and Jess around NYC and all it’s surreal beauty. You both did what I wish I had done when I was younger. It’s so cute to see two BFFs and know that there are great people out there who stick with one another. Can’t wait to see what you two cook up in Chi-Town! Also, thank you for sharing the “Likability” link. I absolutely adore her advice for all females out there.

  4. Congrats! Always had a love for Chicago. Those non-detox detox tips are so helpful!

  5. I’m so thrilled to hear you’ll be moving to Chicago soon! I’ve long been a silent fan of your blog and can’t wait to have the opportunity to a) take a SoulCycle class with you here in the Windy City, b) see all the cool-ass places you explore around Chicago and c) watch how your outfit photos evolve with some of the Chicago landscapes.

    Super pumped for your move!!!
