For caffeine - I was reading somewhere (can’t remember where now, natch) that your body is wired to best respond to caffeine between 10-12 and 2-4, and still allow you to start shutting down for sleep at a “reasonable” hour.
Have you seen the new Chuck II, with the Nike Lunarlon soles? I cannot wait for my new red high-tops to arrive! I broke an ankle 18 months ago, and current Chucks require tricking out with fancy insoles and cushioning, but I’m hoping the new insole will help eliminate all that!
Well, that explains why my shirts and dresses are ALWAYS wrinkled after I put them on in the morning…. #alwayslate
Happy Weekend, Hal! xo
I tend to take a while to decide if I want to spend money on something… but the Nords sale was just too good to pass up! I bought some leopard flats and a matching sports bra and leggings from Adidas. And I love them both!
Also, in relation to caffeine, I used to drink coffee all day every day until my kidneys freaked out about not getting enough water… so now I just have a cup of coffee in the morning, a La Croix over lunch (have you tried them yet? Not caffeinated, but a fun switch from plain water!) and green tea in the afternoon. The combo keeps me awake, hydrated, and most importantly is waaay healthier. I hope you find a combination that works well for you! xx
I’m headed to Lolla for the first time tomorrow. Any pro tips?
Yes, wear tennis shoes! Opt for function and comfort over looking super chic and cute. It’s HOT, the last thing you want to do is feel gross and sticky.
Also, stay hydrated! Pack Vitamin C packets and mix them with your water.
HAVE FUN! XXX
Omg that interview was cringe-worthy. Wow. Thanks for sharing! Happy Friday lovely!

I totally appreciate the ironing advice! I’m always a wrinkled mess… maybe THAT’S why! Haha!

I’m SO excited because I managed to snag the Kendra Scott ‘Dani’ Earrings in emerald green during the #nsale. I ordered the ‘Elle’ version last year and they sold out. I think I lucked out because the ‘Dani’ earrings are smaller and much prettier in my opinion! Still considering a couple of others items, but so far I am loving the Zella leggings I got. I didn’t go overboard so I am proud of myself. 😉 Hope you have a great weekend!
It was so great meeting you the other day. Hope you had a blast at Lolla and I look forward to trying out one of your Soul Cycle classes soon. I also don’t want summer to end. Have a great week Hallie!

Oh man that Starbucks statistic is terrifying! Yikes! Also, I take a monthly digital detox and spend one day “unplugged” it feels so refreshing after!
I usually have trouble sleeping when I move. One thing that’s helped me (though it’s kind of painful sometimes) is choosing a time an hour before I want to go to sleep and turning my phone off (and not looking at my computer/ipad/etc.) Aka, no screens for the last hour before bed! (I suppose this advice goes well with your digital detox link!) Hope you’re having a good week!
