My best-ever Amazon Purchases

Sometimes, the trouble with shopping on a site like Amazon is that you have nowhere to start. You know?

Like, the site is so massive you just have no idea where to begin.

If that’s the case for you as well, today is as good of a day as any to start, because Amazon is celebrating their 20th Anniversary with the massive sale known as “Prime Day” — a little twist on Christmas in July.

You’ve likely seen it all over the Internet, so here’s the down-low (as well as my shopping suggestions):

Prime Day is a one-day sales event that will “out-do” all of the Black Friday discounts that have been on the site. So there are thousands of items on sale, but the catch is that they’re available exclusively for members of Amazon’s Prime program.

I was intrigued, so I did some digging.

A few friends are Prime members, but I myself have never been one. For the sake of today’s post, though — and let’s be honest, this freakin’ sale — I started the free 30-day trial about a week ago. So far, so good (but in that time-frame I’ve only bought protein powder, ha.)

In sum, a membership gets you free two-day shipping, as well as free streaming movies, music and e-books for the price of $99 a year. There’s also unlimited photo storage on their server, which was the biggest appeal to me. I’m running out of space on my computer!

Not only that, some outside vendors offer free shipping through Prime, like Shopbop. Also, did you know you can buy wine through Amazon? Mind blown (happily so).

Really, how could I resist? If you’re an avid online shopping, this may be something worth looking into.

In the interim — and in the spirit of shopping — here’s a summary of the best items I’ve ever purchased on Amazon (and continue to do so).

Remember, this sale is today only, so don’t wait on checking out everything from electronics and women’s clothing, — and if you’re interested, you can here to sign-up for a free 30-day membership.

  1. I’m reluctant to Amazon Prime Membership trials. I tried once and they automatically charged me after the 30 days trial whereas I thought it would be simply over. Anyways, I want a foam roller too!!

  2. 1) Random question – BUT tell me more about the protein you bought. I’m a vegetarian, but I’ve been working out a lot harder lately (aka thanks to you and your spin posts), so I think I really need another supplement. How do you eat/drink it?!

    2) I love this roundup and cannot wait for Prime Day!!!!
