Five Things You Need from Shopbop’s Annual Sale

So you’ve likely heard by now, but Shopbop just kicked off their two-day, annual Friends & Family sale — meaning pretty much everything on the site is 25% off (with the code INTHEFAM25).

Speaking from experience, shopping a sale such as this can be a bit overwhelming, but I’ve got good news: I’ve already cleared the clutter and done the leg-work for you.

… And, you know, spent a quick (two) hundo myself. Occupational hazard!

Everything on the site tends to go FAST once this sale hits, so let’s waste not another second. From winter footwear to sweaters and over-the-knee boots, Here’s where I’d suggest focusing your time/spending your hard-earned moo-lah — as well as what I bought myself:

They sell out every year, guys. These are just like L.L.Bean boots, but cuter (in my opinion)!

This is my favorite pair, but Shopbop has a lot of options (in varying sizes) still available at a discount. Mine (below) are Sorel, but I bought them because every pair of Sperry’s saltwater boots sold out last year, as mentioned.

2. A REALLY GOOD SWEATER.

Don’t feel bad about splurging in the knits department- especially if you live in the Midwest/East Coast. You know we’re gonna be living in ’em for the next few months, girls.

Shopbop’s options are endless, whether you prefer a classic cable-knit, an awesomely oversized boyfriend style. You definitely need some simple-and-soft, signature cashmere in your arsenal, but a grey-fit with the perfect v-neck is essential, too. And for chilly nights out, perhaps a sweater dress? Like I said — the options are endless.

Personally, a cream-colored sweater is my winter-weather must-have…

3. DESIGNER DENIM.

Whether it’s those wide-leg white jeans (you know, the ones I’ve been wearing on repeat), your signature black skinnies or the perfectly distressed pair of denim from One Teaspoon (my favorite!), there’s no better time to score designer denim at a discount. From Joe’s Jeans to J Brand and more, there are hardly any brand exclusion here — and lots of options are already on sale.

And don’t limit your search to pants — there’s everything from jean jackets to denim skirts and chambray shirts to select from. (But if it’s just a regular pair of skinny blue jeans you’re looking for, I like J Brand’s 835’s.)

4. THE SUNGLASSES YOU’VE BEEN WANTING.

Sunglasses for cooler weather can be especially hard to find. Shopbop has no shortage of options, though! Those Karen Walker frames you’ve been lusting over? No time like the present — and you probably won’t find them on sale anywhere else.

5. OVER-THE-KNEE BOOTS.

No, not just boots — we had to get specific, here.

I lived in my OTK boots last season (as is apparent, below). They’re the perfect pants replacement — and by that, I mean you can prolong the life of your favorite skirts and dresses well into wintertime because of ’em. Slay! An LDB and some OTK boots essentially sums up my weekend wardrobe in the winter…. You, too?

To note, Stuart Weitzman is excluded from Shopbop’s 25% off discount, but there’s a handful of gorgeous options from Sam Edelman and Dolce Vita — for, yep, a fraction of the cost. (This pair looks just like those 50/50’s — for less than $200!)

• New sports bras from Michi — the athletic-looking ones. I live and work in them — can you blame me? I love the mesh detailing!
• Zara Terez workout leggings. Again, can you blame me? The prints are so much fun. I’ve been wanting her emoji leggings for-ever!
• The most perfect, breezy LBD for fall and winter. It’ll be perfect worn belted for a night out, or layered with a faux-fur vest for a Sunday of errands. For less than $80? Can’t beat it!
