An Easy Cool-Weather Ensemble

Some post-Cyber Monday hangover realness happening over here, you guys… It’s been hard to get back into the swing of this this week, hasn’t it?

Much of the last few days on my end has been spent running a few errands around town in a cozy striped sweater, faux fur vest and the $150 OTK boots I’m obsessed with — I told you, I have them in two colors!

Reason being, I’m headed off on a quick international adventure today. Wahoo!

The mini Pashli is my sole Black Friday purchase.

After two years of lusting, I found her for 30% off — and no tax/shipping — so I had to splurge. They match the boots I searched high-and-low for back in the day, so it felt like fate.

Any any rate, the trip:

Jess (Bows & Sequins) and I are bound for St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands for a few days at Caneel Bay resort. There’s rain in the forecast, but I’m just happy to be taking a few days off and away from the city.

We’ve got a long day of travel ahead of us, but I tend to be more productive than normal when I’m at 30,000 feet. Does anyone else have this strange office airplane syndrome? No complaints…

I packed very light, per usual — if you were a c+c reader last year, you know I only brought a carry-on for my four-week trip to Asia.

In my suitcase (Delsey’s hard-cover carry on) I’ve got a few dresses, a pair of white shorts and my favorite white shirt by rag & bone/JEAN, which I’m also wearing on the plane. I have lit-er-ally never felt a more comfortable piece of clothing. (FYI, runs a bit large- the small is perfectly relaxed on my frame.)
