Ironically, I spent most of the past weekend in Hilton Head — and offline. I’m sure you can relate to this, but when you feel like you’re living a lifestyle that’s constantly connected, you crave time away from social media.

Over time, I’ve really grown to have a love/hate relationship with it. Quite frankly, I hate how social has transformed (/is often treated as) a soapbox and platform solely for self-promotion.

Be a Better Blogger, Vol. 1: Find Balance

Today’s post is in response to the question I asked you about freelancing and blogging full-time, posted two weeks ago. I intended to share it with you last week, but well, shit happens. Sorry guys; sometimes you have to prioritize – especially if you’re a one-woman-show running your own biz-nass (with another job ramping up).

… These “things” I’m referring to are taxes, and I always wait until the last minute to do them. Lesson one: Don’t be like me. Do your f-king taxes!

My Five-Minute Face

You might have noticed this by now, but I don’t wear a lot of make-up in my outfit posts (and in real life).

That’s due to a few reasons, but mainly, its because I’m lazy.

But even on my barely there make-up days, I still want a little something to even out my skin tone and add some naturally radiant coverage.

The goal, essentially, is to not look like a vampire. (Easier said than done, my friends.)
