Controlled Chaos

Things have been hectic around here, playing calendar roulette (balancing schedules) and with frequent weekends away from Manhattan (to Houston, Southampton, San Fran and Chicago).

As a result, my little New York apartment is becoming what I like to call a state of controlled chaos. Shit may be everywhere, but hey, at least I know where it is. Here’s a peek at the current state of affairs (and if you’re curious, here’s a more detailed apartment tour).

The Aisle Seat^ will remain my second home for the next month or so, but I can’t complain — you know #jetsetcorals loves to travel. Most notably, I’m reuniting with a few friends to throw my BFF a bridal shower. I know nothing about bridal showers, admittedly, but I can’t wait to wear my new strapless Vineyard Vines dress!

There’s a few things brewing behind the scenes at corals + cognacs, too. I’m very, very eager to share them with you and will do so within the next few weeks…. Hint, hint: Someone’s getting a little digital make-over!

^Always.

Blogging PSA!

Just a quick weekend note, reminder and overall Internet PSA for today. The time has finally come: Google Reader will no longer exist as of Monday (July 1st). If you’ve been stubbornly resisting change like I have, it’s high time to migrate your feeds. (I don’t want to lose ya!)

I now use Bloglovin’, but Feedly is another option. Both allow you to migrate your subscriptions with one or two clicks. And of course, there’s always Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to stay connected.

Any other platforms or subscription services you’re using? Let me know in the comments so I can check ‘em out, if so. Have a great weekend!

What to Wear: Meetings and Briefings

I’m headed to the West Coast for an important client meeting this weekend/next week, so I thought I’d share some insights to what I’d pack for such an event.

When in doubt, go the neutral route. Tailored white pants are super-chic yet worthy for a work-related function when paired with closed-toed pumps and a collared shirt. A dainty little horseshoe good luck charm pendant doesn’t hurt, either! Subtle, I know.

*Wear: OTTE open-back top (I’d, of course, pair it with this vest or this blazer for a formal office meeting) | Zara trousers | BaubleBar horseshoe necklace | Zara high-heel vamp shoes | Michael Kors large Miranda tote | Michael Kors watch

And with that, I’m (#jetsetcorals‘ing) off to San Francisco. Enjoy your weekend!

Summer Bucket List

I came across this Vine from Visa yesterday, which got me to thinking about my summer bucket list.

The idea behind the concept is simple: Six words, six photos, six seconds. That’s all it takes to be inspired.

Each time a new season rolls around, I’ve noticed that I intuitively begin aggregating a bucket list of sorts. I like having a variety of adventures and goals to aspire to. It keeps me driven, fills my non-blogging hours and reminds me to take advantage of how fast time seems to pass us by. Are you the same way?

Unfortunately, I’m Type A meets possible ADD and, well, I’m just not very good at lists. Either way, I thought compiling a few reminders to inject a little spontaneity into my summer would help.

Take a peek and feel free to “borrow” any of these ideas for your own proverbial summer agenda:

When it comes down to it, I’m ultimately aiming to spend as much time as possible outdoors and in the company of good people; either being active or enjoying a beverage (though I’m not opposed to doing so simultaneously).

“There are a billion stories out there waiting to be made.” Which is the one you’re writing first?

What to Wear: Blogger Brunch

I’m in-between travel weekends, which means I’ll be spending a good amount of time doing blog-related things for the next few days.

Fortunately, one of those blog-related things includes brunching in the West Village with Julie Vos, Persifor and a few of my favorite girls.
