My Offline Life: May 2012

It’s June? Seriously?

If you’re living at the rate I am, you’re probably asking the same question. In looking back through photos, though, it seems my days were filled with nada but shoes, nail polish, coconut cupcakes, coffee and beer… Hey, no complaints.

Truthfully, I can’t help but marvel at what an incredibly humbling month it’s been — especially in blogging. In May, corals + cognacs accomplished a site re-design*, connected with a handful of new fashion-savvy friends on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, and launched partnerships with a number of new, exciting sponsors and brands. A very big thank you to Ann Taylor, MIA shoes, Bakers Shoes, Alue Boutique and Sugarlips Apparel for what you have in store for corals + cognacs readers. *Oh, and thank God for GoDaddy’s 24-hour customer service, as Midnight nervous breakdowns are no longer the norm.

I can’t wait to share with you guys what’s ahead this summer! Stay tuned — and in the meantime, TGIF. Whatever your go-to cocktail tonight, enjoy it. Cheers!

My Offline Life: April 2012

Another month draws to an end and as a result, so does another monthly Offline Life review. From escaping on a sun-ridden vacation to attending the Yigal Azrouel runway show in Chicago and winning a sponsorship with Baker’s shoes, April was a fantastically eventful month.

*Happy Friday!

My Offline Life >> December Photo Review

Happy New Year! I can’t believe December has flown by. In looking forward at what lies ahead in 2012, I can’t wait for another year of blogging… thanks for sticking with me!

Feeling festive in Chicago

About town in animal-print pumps… and an unfortunate streak of broken toe fashion.

Having fun at fancy and not-so-fancy corporate holiday parties.

Traveling to spend the holidays with a great family — who knew just what was on my list this Christmas.

Ringing in the New Year with bright-and-shiny sparkle. Cheers to a happy, healthy 2012!

PS: You may have noticed we’re trying on a different look for this year. What do you think? A very big thank you to B from Beautifully Invisible, whose WordPress tutorial has been immensely helpful in our transition.

My Offline Life: November Photo Review

Last month, I introduce a new series I’m planning to implement on the first of each month: a look at my offline life through the lens of my mobile phone.

Appropriately enough, November’s theme is thanksgiving: for my followers, friends and family. If you’re new here, I’m so happy you stopped by. If we’ve met, and you’ve stuck around awhile, thank you! You’re my voice of inspiration and you breathe life into corals + cognacs every single day. Looking forward to seeing you again soon.

Enjoying Chicago
and what remains of fall
in preppy penny loafers
sequin-studded flats
and not-so-pretty outdoor running shoes. (It was raining!)

Weekends spent wine tasting
or out on the town
and Sundays filled with shopping
watching football
and caffeine-fueled blogging.

Heading home for the holidays
makes me feel thankful… for family
for festive holiday food
for travel companions
and for good friends - the kind that bake and help you eat too many birthday cupcakes.
Christmas lights line the streets
and window displays are full of merriment

which has lead to lots of holiday shopping.

Happy December, everyone. ‘Tis the season! What was special about your month?
