Who: Ladylike silhouettes, geometric prints, and angular layers of perfect proportions dominated Lela Rose’s Fall 2012 collection.
What: Drawing inspiration from Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, the collection ranged from daytime dresses to fitted, embellished evening looks in amber, rust and pumpkin hues.
Aesthetically, the shoes followed suit. “The stacked heels resemble architectural beams in a rounded, arched way,” said Rose, who told Fashionista.com that she’s continuing her longstanding collaboration with Payless this year. Accordingly, eight pairs of the heels that hit the runway will be available for purchase come fall. (Yay! I’m already obsessing over these for spring.)
