Need to Know: Sophia Webster

Some of my favorite shoe designers hail from London (Nicholas Kirkwood and Charlotte Olympia, for example), and now there’s a (not-so-)new designer du jour on the list: Sophia Webster.

Upon seeing her collection, you’ll know why I’m obsessed. Whimsical, fashion-forward footwear in an obnoxious array of vibrant colors? Hi, thanks. [Raises hand.] From lace-up to laser-cut, her styles (starting at $395) range from platform to kitten heels, each packing a serious sartorial statement.

This season’s spring/summer line is her first official collection, but it’s already stocked overseas at retailers such as Bergdorf’s and Sak’s. State-side, you can shop Sophia Webster exclusively at Net-a-Porter - but if you’re a US size 7.5, disregard that last note

In addition to being a former assistant of Nicholas Kirkwood, Sophia has already been named one of the Top 100 People to Watch by the Times.
