Here’s How to Wear Your White Jeans This Winter

As has been discussed around here, I’m pretty much the Ambassador for Wearing White Jeans in the winter.

It’s amazingly fresh and modern-looking, and there’s no better budget-friendly style strategy than taking the pieces you already have and wearing them in a new way. You know?

… And as promised, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite ways to style your white jeans for some end-of-the-season inspiration.

14 Sales to Shop This Holiday Weekend

While this weekend’s primary focus is, of course, on the service and sacrifice of sir Martin Luther King — there’s no denying that such holiday weekends come with a few fringe benefits, like shopping.

… Online. From bed.

At noon.

Specifically, this marks the time of year when retailers are slashing prices on two key categories:

Workout gear — fitness brands like Athleta, Nike and Lululemon are taking advantage of our resolutions to lose weight, hit the gym and get fit by offering markdowns on lots of apparel and equipment. Nordstrom just added a lot of activewear to their sale section, too.

In addition, clothing retailers are clearing the racks of sweaters, coats and other cold-weather apparel to make room for spring and summer collections in February. (Yes, already!)

Here’s a few of my favorite sales (click the hotspots below to shop each item):

In addition, here’s a few more deals you don’t want to miss:

Happy shopping, sleeping (sans alarm clock), and all of those other good things. What’s on your agenda this weekend?

Want, Need This Cozy Cable-knit Sweater

I’ve got two posts for you today, but this one is kind of like the fashion equivalent of those break-in-case-of-emergency boxes.

Okay, so: You know how when you’re shopping, you see something you want but can’t afford, and you fixate on it for-ever? Like, you get reverse buyer’s remorse for not purchasing it?

That’s how I was with this Topshop dress all summer long — but I’ve since moved on and I’ve got my sights set on this incredibly perfect cable-knit sweater.

OMG! It was, truly, love at first sight six months ago, but you and I both know we’re not gonna go dropping that kind of cash on a freakin’ sweater… Even though such a classic, comfortable heritage staple would be a worthy closet investment…

Can you tell I tried real hard to justify splurging on it back then? (First, rent. Then, shoes. THEN sweaters.)

Thankfully, I just noticed that it’s on sale this week (a whopping 60% OFF!), so you better believe I’m gonna buy and cozy up in it for the foreseeable future.

I love a trendy take on the traditional fisherman’s sweater, but if you’re nervous about rocking such an open-weave knit, just throw a flesh-toned tank underneath. Easy! And whether you’re adding it to your arsenal of East Coast essentials or your style profile is more West Coast-worthy, you can make this work. Here’s how I’d style it:

*WEST COAST: rag & bone jean shorts, Gap leather satchel, Tory Burch Reva flats // *EAST COAST: Paige ultra skinny distressed denim, Vince peep-toe booties, Mansur Gavriel bucket bag, rag & bone felt fedora
