FAQ //LOCATION: New York, New York •BY WAY OF: The Midwest (Cleveland/Chicago) •HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE? Attainable, trendy and fun. I’m constantly wearing unexpected pairings – like statement pumps and a graphic tee. •FAVORITE ITEM IN YOUR CLOSET? The vintage Gucci clutch I thrifted for $40. •ANY OBSESSIONS? I like my coffee black, my heels high and my martinis dirty. •GUILTY PLEASURES? Complex carbohydrates and shoe shopping -- both in excess. (And SoulCycle, as a result.)
ARE YOU A FULL-TIME BLOGGER? No, I work as a Development Manager and Contributing Editor at Glam.com. •WHY DID YOU START YOUR BLOG? I've spent nearly seven years on the corporate grind, where sartorial humor and an expertly crafted color-block can get lost in the boardroom. As a result, I decided to create a blog -- a space where I’d hoped my writing, styling and excessive shoe collection would be better comprehended. •WHAT’S IT ABOUT? Living stylish and spontaneously in New York City – and beyond. I aim to inspire others to have fun with fashion and to live lightheartedly •HOW’D YOU THINK OF THE NAME? To be honest, the name just came to me. I’m a big color-blocker and a sucker for alliteration in writing. It just fit. •WHAT’S THE CORRECT WAY TO WRITE IT? corals + cognacs.

As has been discussed around here, I’m pretty much the Ambassador for Wearing White Jeans in the winter.
It’s amazingly fresh and modern-looking, and there’s no better budget-friendly style strategy than taking the pieces you already have and wearing them in a new way. You know?
… And as promised, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite ways to style your white jeans for some end-of-the-season inspiration.
Looks I love
Nothing looks fresher than a sleek pair of white jeans worn with an oversized sweater. Pair your winter whites with blush and soft grey tones for a feminine, dreamy palette.
Go super casual in a pair of white skinny jeans and an everyday white t-shirt. An all-white foundation gives you the freedom to experiment with accessories, but stick to a few complementary colors.
Tie the look together with a bold scarf and matching pair of pumps (or flats), as originally styled here.
Texture, texture, texture: This is the key to wearing white jeans in the winter. Keep your lighter fabrics (like chambray and linen) relegated to spring months.
Any blazer-based outfit is perfect for the office, but with flared white denim, this look is great for the weekend, too. Make sure your shoes are round-toe and neutral (or that your toes can peek out from under your pants).
White skinny jeans play well with cozy, extra-voluminous knits. Style a slouchy sweater for the perfect weekend ensemble — and add polish to the look by slightly tucking in the front of your shirt.
Personally, I don’t generally like to pair calf- or knee-high boots over my white jeans (I feel like it cuts my leg in half), but I love how Luella & June tucked ’em into chestnut-hued riding boots (below).
That first pair of shoes is beautiful!!
Great tips! Thanks for sharing.
