Day & Night: The Striped Dress

Today’s post was intended for next Friday, but I was updating it tonight and noticed that the dress just came back in-stock. It won’t stay in stock for long (Beyoncé and JanuaryJones both own it, after all), so I decided to nix any thoughtfully articulated editorial and just get down to biz-nass.

Ultimately, if I’m going to invest in any type of wardrobe staple - especially a $140 dress - I want to be able to wear it a number of which ways. That said, here’s how I’d style this gorgeous little Topshop number.

What to Wear: Tailgating

You guys, I’m in the mood to tailgate. Like, put me in a parking lot with red solo cups, cornhole (we don’t call it “bags” where I’m from) and street food.

For the past few weekends, I’ve been holed up in my apartment - which I now affectionately refer to as my storage unit - with an IV of coffee; working, editing, writing and finalizing aesthetic changes that are coming to the site very soon. Hint, hint: Re-design!

This ensemble is a meet-in-the-middle hybrid of my style- and sports-loving worlds. I’m a Ohio native and Buckeyes fan, hence the color scheme. Plus, the t-shirt is a total conversation starter. How many people do you think will ask me if my last name is really Wang? I’ll be sure to report back.
