Weekday Wear

Ever since Ann Taylor re-branded a bit this year, I’ve been living in their separates. I know, I know; it’s no secret that I have a freakin’ girl crush on AT, but it’s really just because her clothes are quality-made, machine washable and on-trend (and often times on sale). I never travel without my stretchy Westside pants, I collect colors of this silk button-down, and I can’t stop wearing my modern slim-fit jeans.

All three of these items came with me on my recent trip to New York, actually, and that’s because I’ve been wearing nothing but rich, lush colors in deep, subtle hues this season. Oxblood everything in my closet, please — right now!

Since we’ve covered that superstition of wearing white after Labor Day, I’m hoping you won’t judge me for refusing to ban this white blazer to the back of my closet.

I know, all you wanna talk about right now is the booties, but seriously: No matter the month or season, a crisp white blazer can be a super-chic component to your look. Just warm it up with textured pieces, chunky knits, jewel tones and sleek patterns.

Lastly, a quick anecdote: This is how happy I was to actually set foot outside of the office for a full hour during lunch. It’s the little things. Thanks, Michelle, for joining me to snap my pics.

  1. Your white blazer is perfect! Actually, the whole outfit is perfect. I would love to have a nice white blazer but I can’t seem to find one that works. And now that it’s past Labor Day I think my chances are pretty slim until the spring. Bummer.
