Bloggers Who Brunch

Weekends in the fall are reserved for some of my favorite things: Napping under a pile of blankets, day-drinking, watching football, and — of course — Netflix binges (currently: Orange is the New Black).

Every month or two, a group of local-based bloggers get together to brunch and whatnot, which makes the weekend extra special. Not that I need an excuse to have an extra mimosa at brunch… But, you know.

Earlier this summer, it was at Palma in the West Village. This time-around, we ventured to the Upper East Side to talk shop (literally) with the lovely ladies of Sail to Sable and Annie Griffin Designs.

Prior to then, I dragged my ass out of bed early enough for a SoulCycle class in Soho. (Have I told you I’ve been trying to become a morning person?) Admittedly, I was mostly motivated by the studio’s signature grapefruit-smelling shampoo and conditioner in the showers. If you Soul, you know what I’m talking about. And if you don’t, well, it’s sold at Whole Foods… I digress.

One of my favorite things about a more intimate blogger brunch is how much time you actually have to talk to people. Annie and Robin (of AGD) were super-sweet, and Jen’s (of STS) apartment was literally a Pinterest board in and of itself. Seriously — I may or may not have asked to “house sit.”

Afterward, Jess, Julia, Kat, Hitha and I porch stoop’ed/loitered across the street to catch up over caffeine. I don’t think any of us are ready to bid adieu to iced coffee season just yet…
