There’s something unabashadly chic about a t-shirt and maxi skirt.

Plucking this tee from its rightful place of real estate in my closet puts me in a badass mindset.

I like to pretend that I galavant around the city with a New York F’ing City, bitches! persona, but truthfully, I’m kind of a pussy. (Love ya, Mom.)

Despite living New York, I’ve maintained a fairly Midwest mindset. As a result, I think, I like to lessen the sartorial abrasiveness of my favorite unfiltered tee by pairing it with super-feminine elements, like a sparkling statement necklace, silk maxi or a sequin jacket.

  1. Bahaha–I loved your “love ya Mom” comment…I always feel the need to do that if I swear or something on my blog. You look amazing–that last picture is so great!

  2. So good to know you have kept your Midwestern roots intact a little bit ;) I love meeting people who may live in an uber cool city, but are proud to note that they originally came from a flyover state! I have had a maxi skirt hanging in my closet now for a few months… I think its time I style it with a t-shirt and see how it looks!

  3. Haha, I HATE the p-word…but this made me laugh so hard! If I posted pics in a shirt like this, my mom would be calling me instantly…(cue mom voice) “I saw your totally inappropriate t-shirt on your blog, Kristin, and I don’t approve.” Thanks for the laugh! :)
