Lazy Layers

When I’m not quite ready to bust out my puffy winter coat (that time is now), I resort to strategic layering to keep warm on walks to and from the office and whatnot.

I may be toeing the line of looking homeless-chic, but it’s survival of the warmest when the temps start to dip — and I’m really f-king stubborn.

If you like the bag, by the way — be sure to head back here post-Turkey coma next week… You’re going to have the chance to win one yourself! The brand is Joelle Hawkens, and I was recently introduced by a friend of mine. Her aesthetic reminds me of Rebecca Minkoff, but at a slightly more modest price point.

If you’re impatient (or, hey, you can always return), you can shop Joelle’s line at Nordstrom and Lord & Taylor — both of which have most styles on sale.

*Two days ’til Thanksgiving! As an FYI, I’ll be sharing my annual guide to Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales this Thursday. Any stores/brands/types of apparel you want me to keep an eye on?
