Link Love, Vol. 72

Happy Friday! Bit of an update beyond link-sharing over here, today.

Calia by Carrie Underwood gym bag

Before we get into this week’s round-up, let’s have a chat on the fitness front. It’s about a brand I’ve been rocking on repeat — and been getting lots of questions about Snapchat and the like:

Another busy weekend on tap, over here… Though despite teaching on Saturdays and Sundays, I am happy to say that I’ve been able to find and maintain a balance of a social life.

A large part of that is having clothes that can work overtime — and one brand I’ve been turning to on the reg lately is CALIA by Carrie Underwood. (In full disclosure, CALIA reached out and introduced the line to me about three months ago. They gifted me a handful of items to test out – most of which I loved and will detail below.)

Quick back-story: CALIA encourages the path of leading an active lifestyle – and one that’s effortlessly fashion-forward. The pieces I’ve been wearing (all pictured in this post) are versatile, comfortable and easy-to-wear both in and out of the gym. Think colorful printed leggings, breathable tanks, cozy sweaters (in machine washable cashmere!) and functional gym bags. Cool, right?

I love the story behind the line, too. Carrie (we’re on a first-name basis, apparently) created CALIA to make it easier for women like us to work in working out – in spite of our busy schedules. Staying active is a lifestyle, after all.

At the moment, I have two favorite pieces from the collection — incidentally, they’re the two I get the most questions/compliments on: The ruched knit vest and this gorgeous green-colored quilted bag (both pictured). The quilted vest has side-ruching for a custom fit, as well as hidden front pockets. Plus, it’s just really slimming (and as an FYI, it runs true-to-size). The bag is my gym go-to — I even used it as a carry-all (and carry-on!) during last week’s trip to New York.

The collection has become a central party of my weekly workout wardrobe, especially as the weather cools… With good reason, too: Clothing that easily transitions from studio to street? Sign me up. (Next week, I’m sharing more of my winter-weather workout musts — similar in format to where I shop for fitness gear!)

Anywho, CALIA. I love! Let me know if you have questions.

  3. Hi Hallie! You teach on both weekend days? I’m a group fitness instructor as well, but I recently gave up my weekend classes to have those days off! Good for you though, because weekend classes are FULL! Loving the look of the CALIA gear, I actually just bought some shorts from her line and they are totally flattering. Have a great weekend! :)
