Cool Sh*t to Share, Vol. 1

Happy Friday, friends!

So, today’s title: The same Link Love format, just a different name. Truth be told, I’ve been wanting to broaden these weekly posts away from coming off as generic link sharing and steer ’em more toward what I envision the heart of the content to be. Which is, quite simply, just some cool shit that’s worth sharing.

Here’s this week’s breakdown:

Peaks & Pits

Peak: Oh, wow. Tough to pick a favorite here — it was a great week. The Cleveland Cavaliers WON the NBA finals and we had so much damn fun celebrating. I’m a huge Cleveland sports fan and we’ve waited 52 years to bring a championship back to our city.

Peak 2.o: This week, the Chicago Sun Times/Chicago SPLASH Magazine invited me to be featured in their Singles Edition. The shoot was yesterday and I Snapchatted the entire thing — as well as the questionnaire they asked me to fill out. Did you catch Jess and I sharing our turn on’s, turn off’s and biggest pet peeves? Pit: I’ve gotta work all weekend — subbing at SoulCycle and blog stuff. No complaints, though; I could use a productive weekend before the Fourth of July. You?

• Okay, best $12 buy of the day is this plastic pineapple cup. Perfect poolside essential!

• Legendary street style photographer Bill Cunningham suffered what appeared to be a stroke earlier this week — wishing him a speedy and healthy recovery.

• I love taking a break from music to listen to Podcasts and TED talks. Here’s eight of ’em to help you form better habits.

• I’m often asked about my favorite nail colors for summer — both are Shellac, Romantique (a very pale pink) and Cream Puff (a bright white). Ask your salon or find ’em on Amazon.

• So, I have (1) a peony addiction and (2) the opposite of a green thumb (is that a black thumb?) so I really liked this video on seven tips to make your flowers last longer.
