Cool Sh*t to Share, Vol. 17

Happy Halloween weekend, my friends!

Everyone have their costumes lined up for this weekend? You’ll never guess what Jess and I are dressing up as…. Haha.

… Wayne’s World!

Too f’ing perfect, no? We’ll be sure to post the finished product on Snapchat, so make sure you’re following along if you aren’t already. (My username is ‘coralsncognacs‘.)

Here are this week’s links — peaks and pits first, obvs:

Peaks & Pits

Pit: It’s starting to get co-o-old in Chi-town, and my dry cleaner somehow lost my winter jacket (along with three dresses). So, yeah, there’s that… Ha. Here’s hoping they’re recovered sometime in the next week.

Peak: It’s been such an awesome weekend in Chicago with the World Series happening. Everyone is in such high spirits! Bring on the weekend…

Here are this week’s links:

  • My favorite fall moto jacket is 15% off with e-mail sign-up. It comes in three colors and I have two of ’em — black and cognac.
  • At last! I finally got around to making another playlist for your listening pleasure. Here’s the link — I’d suggest listening to in order, since that’s how I curated it.
  • This New York Times author admits that he’s almost 30 and has “no idea how money works.” A great read to refresh (or inform) your basic financial knowledge.
  • Before and after: How taking a gap year (or sabbatical) can shape the course of your life. Has anyone taken an extended period of time away from work? Do share!
  • I love the slate gray color of this Rebecca Minkoff bag. (I also love that it looks just like a Balenciaga, which is much more expensive. I’ve ben wanting one for so long!)
  • It’s getting to be about that time where I can no longer wear just my workout leggings to the SoulCycle studio. I have a few pair of these Nike sweatspants — they’re slightly fitted and are perfect to pop over before you head out the door.
  • Remember how I told you I bought these Stuart Weitzman boots last week? I felt super guilty about paying so much for them, but honestly I’ve found that they’re so worth the price. They’re the only thigh-high/over-the-knee boots that actually don’t slouch. (Again, here’s a similar style from Steve Madden for a fraction of the cost.)

  2. So many good links. Admittedly - I know far less than I should about money. Headed to read that NYT article now. Thanks for sharing!! xx

    • I hear you! I’ve pretty much self-taught myself everything (and so thankful I have parents that pound this shit into my brain). I didn’t take any accounting or business courses in college, that’s my one regret!

What do you think?
