Spring Style Revival

One of my favorite things to do when the weather starts to warm is freshen up my closet…

… You know, revive those old pieces that haven’t gotten much wear or exposure due to lots and lots of layering throughout the winter.

And shop. Obvs.

You might feel the same after I introduce you to the new favorite line I’m loving…

White Denim Leather Weather

It seems that spring finally sprung in New York City. That said, are you a good news first or a bad news first type of person?

The good news is, well, spring has sprung. Obviously. The bad news is most of us — myself included — still have to spend our days indoors knowing it’s 60-plus degrees at long last.

I love wearing white denim before and after you’re traditionally supposed to. It’s like a real-life fashion exam in untraditional style rules; you can tell who stands where based on the side-eyes you’re thrown during your commute.

The morning in which I was finally able to don a blazer and walk out the door without a winter coat was an incredible wardrobe victory in my book. I actually think I skipped home from work this day… Champagne may have been a factor. (Don’t judge; it was Friday.)

On another note, Manhattan squirrels get mighty frisky when the weather warms.

That little handbag-loving attention whore to my left two photos above above crawled into both my and Bianca’s bags on two separate occasions as we posted up on a bench and caught up post-outfit shoot. You’ve never heard two girls shriek more obnoxiously — or sprint 50 yards quicker in heels.

Style Finds: 15 Kate Middleton-inspired Mid-Wedges

Earlier this week, a colleague and I debated on whether or not Kate Middleton is a style icon. While I don’t find that she’s a reflect of my own personal taste, I’d argue that Kate’s low-profile style makes her an ideal icon for our recession-weary budgets. What do you think? Do you like her realistic chic look?

Anywho, on Sundays here at corals + cognacs, you know it’s all about shoes…. And when she’s not wearing riding boots, you can often find Kate rocking her L.K. Bennett’s — most frequently, in these limited edition wedges (only recently on sale in the US).

That got me to thinking: What other options do taller ladies and non-enthusiasts of the strappy stiletto have for styling their soles this summer? Here’s a round-up of my favorites, in addition to those (not so) newly infamous L.K. Bennetts:
