Loving this look- always love pairing my distressed denim with pumps too! PS: I don’t think you could have made a better comparison than the denim-to-boyfriend comparison!

Ha! I totally LOVE this post - extremely relevant for me who’s still also swiping left while looking for the perfect pair of boyfriend jeans as well! And those jeans, my friend, are killer! Love a good destroyed jean these days. I think I need to pick up a pair!

This is such a great look Hallie! You look adorable and it is SO you! I love those glasses in addition to the jeans and you’re right; finding a boyfriend is like finding the perfect pair of jeans.

I had a similar experience trying to find the perfect pair of boyfriend jeans a few years back, until one day I was walking through a department store, and spotted them on top of a bargain bin. Ksubi jeans at less than $100? Can’t say no to that! Well done on finding your perfect distressed denim - and an Aussie brand too!

So true! It had taken me YEARS to finally find the perfect boyfriend jeans. And I found them-one pair that’s Aéropostale and one pair that’s Rich & Skinny. Go figure!
I’m loving how you dressed up this pair of boyfriend jeans with a white blazer. Love your style and your fun commentary.

Super cute look! It is always a victory to find a good pair of jeans!
You look amazing. I have the problem where my hip/thigh is my largest area, so I don’t want too baggy of pants to make me look gigantic, but I don’t’ want more skin tight jeans, but I want them distressed, but not teenage level ripped, and I want a darker wash when most boyfriend jeans are lighter.
*Sigh* I’m failing at the search for both boyfriend and jeans 😉

I know what you mean — it’s a tough combination to find! Sometimes you just have to try them on, too — as an FYI, Nordstrom, Zappos, Shopbop and Revolve all have free shipping/returns. : )
Now, the boyfriend sitch. At least we’re in this together. ; )
Fabulous! I’ve been eyeing these jeans and this post just might push me over the edge. Do you mind me asking if they run true to size?
Yep, they do! I’m usually a 28 in designer denim and that’s what I’m wearing. I’m also petite in stature (5’4″) and the length is perfect - helps that they can be rolled up. : )
Those jeans are fab, girl!

It’s so true- finding the perf bf jeans are just as hard (or harder) than finding the perfect boyfriend! I always run into problems in them making me look even shorter. These are SO flattering on you!
