It’s Here!

My closet (and life in general) is a giant state of chaos, which can only mean one thing…

New York Fashion Week has officially begun.

For the next few weeks, editors, buyers and bloggers are in full-on madness mode. Or I guess I can’t speak on behalf Manhattan, but I know I’m shifting into bat-shit crazy overdrive.

This post is short-and-sweet, as a result. It’s more of a little love note, if you will.

NYFW-5

This season really snuck up on me, as I was busy with other things — like juice-fasting, pounding the pavement before dawn and steaming each of my pre-planned outfits.

Haha, sike. I was actually stuffing my face with guacamole during the Super Bowl. And there’s that whole across the globe thing.

At any rate, life during Fashion Week is always a complete and utter blur. It’s very easy to get caught up in a haste of writing, photographing, rush reporting and obsessively instagram’ing, so I wanted to take a moment before the madness to check-in with you guys and talk about exactly what you want to read on corals + cognacs as it pertains to Fashion Week.

If you don’t care about NYFW or you’re unsure how it’s even relevant to you, this article will help.

So, let’s talk: Is it the street style? Behind-the-scenes? The experience in general? Go on, tell me in the comments, on Twitter or Facebook — whatever works for you. I’ll get out, get my awkward on, hustle and do my best to deliver. If you liked my hour-by-hour recaps from last season (day 1, 2 and 3 — insanity!), I’m happy to continue reporting back to you as such.

NYFW-4

If you’re wondering, I’ve already blogged about how I prepare, what’s in my bag and what it’s like inside a runway show. (Kelly Cutrone snaps included!) I also did a few videos during my first season at The Tents, which you can watch here and here. Ah, nostalgia!

See? I told you: short-and sweet. I’ll see you back here on the blog — or if you’re local, perhaps in-person.

  1. I’d like to see how the behind the scenes and the experience! Also how the shows and clothes can affect non-fashion people (but still regular girls who just like to look cute) in the midwest if that even makes sense?

  2. Stuffing your face with guacamole - now thats the type of thing I like to hear. I loved you day to day last year. I really like street style and then actual pictures of the shows since we cannot be there in person.

  3. The play-by-play posts you did last season kept me slapping my thigh from laughter and wishing I was right there with you. I know I’m not alone in this either. Have so much fun!

  4. I LOVED reading your posts last time NYFW was around but I’m pretty sure I’d be happy with anything you put on this blog ;) Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

  5. Love seeing NYFW from your perspective! I personally got a kick out of the hour-by-hour recaps last season! Have fun and stay warm!

  6. Your recaps of your days last fashion week were amazing!! I love reading about what the days are really like for you. You made me feel almost like I was there, and that was amazing!! I am so excited to read more this time!!
