Cozy Moto Coat

First of the month, you guys… When did that happen?

Ah, spring.

You’re so close I can taste it… Yet the 30-degree forecast — and goosebumps making their way up my legs — say differently… Le sigh.

Can we get a little consistency, here?

Thankfully, lots to look forward to on this end.

Today’s look is all about bringing style despite the snowflakes, thank to a super cozy moto coat.

In preparation for an impending (and impromptu) trip to Paris tomorrow, I browsed and bought a few things on Zappos.com last week — including this jacket — and okay, again this week; but mainly because they offer free one-day shipping and I knew the items would arrive in time.

…There may have been wine involved. Duh.

I’m at the point where just about all of my coats are either “too springy” or “too wintery,” so this pullover moto jacket has been a happy little weekday solution.

… And I say weekday as it’s more or less a glorified sweater — but thanks to the motorocss stitching at the elbows, it functions as a more fashionable jacket. Perfect for these in-between days or when it’s just cold AF in the office. You know?

Speaking of office, one of my all-time favorite ways to wear a little black dress to work was to toss a sweater (or in today’s case, a sweater-like jacket) over top.

I get a lot of mileage out of this LBD — it’s by Helmut Lang, and while this exact style is sold out, here’s a really similar style. I’ve come to really appreciate the brand’s elevated basics — they last so much longer and are really worth the investment.
